The Weighted Lap Pad is used to provide self-regulation in children and adults. These items help keep individuals calm and organized in a variety of stressful environments. Sensory Goods' Weighted Lap Pads are made by hand with special care and attention given to quality and detail. The weight is provided by natural, sand-like, glass beads, which are evenly distributed throughout the Lap Pad. They are washer and dryer safe. The Weighted Lap Pad is an excellent addition to any therapeutic program, whether it's being used at home, school, or on the go.

3lb Weighted Lap Pad:
  • Small (3lbs) - 12" x 16"
  • Washer/Dryer Safe
  • Filled with Glass Beads (OT Recommended)

Each Lap Pad is custom made with Primary and Complimentary Pattern/Color Fabrics of your choice. The Primary Pattern/Color will be either Fleece or Flannel, which is paired with an opposing Complimentary Color material. If the Primary fabric is indicated as Cotton, then the Complimentary Color material will be Flannel.

My son loves his lap pad. While not completely stopping meltdowns and such. It does help. I would love to be able to afford a weighted blanket for him.

I use this when meditating. I place it on my chest as a calming influence. For Sensory Goods--I think that dentists could use these lap pads to help their patients remain calm.
